The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes the James Cancer Hospital and the Solove Research Institute, is dedicated to providing quality cancer care for residents of central Ohio. Located in Columbus, it has been consistently ranked as one of "America's Best Hospitals" by U.S. News and World Report. The facility is also a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

In the field of cancer research, the Solove Research Institute includes a network of seven interdisciplinary programs that collectively comprise nearly 240 scientists representing 14 of the 18 colleges at Ohio State. Currently, nearly 50 new therapies are being tested at the facility, many of which are offered nowhere else in the world.

The lung cancer treatment team at OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center is made up of experts in the field of mesothelioma and other small cell lung cancers. The team consists of thoracic surgeons, medical oncologists, pulmonary specialists, radiation specialists, and a large team of support staff.

There's also a pain and palliative care team on board to help patients with pain-related issues associated with mesothelioma. In addition, patients and their families have access to a wide variety of educational programs as well as support programs that offer group sessions and individual therapy or counseling for those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
